An SEO contest is a contest organised by the Search Engine Optimisers and for the SEOers. The aim is to rank among the famous search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN using a keyword or a keyphrase. Maybe a the end of a contest, a participant can win a symbolic prize or a car ! But mots of challengers do this contest to prove their skills and ability to be on the first position on a search engine.

Anyway, for this contest, majority of participants are French. And on the top of that, they have joined a team of French SEO or a team of French Black Hat SEO.

The keyphrase of this contest is Globalwarming awareness2007 . The subject is a good one : i'm the founder of the French Carsharing Association so I like this domain. But the policy of a good seo contest is to use non-relevant keywords or keyphrase. This aim is not to polute search engines' results. In fact, Google Algorithm knows that a search about Globalwarming is a search about Global warming. What is a pity is that in a few days, when someone will search for "Global warming", he will found a lot of seo contest's results.
